Moonlit Sanctuary - Mornington Peninsular

Review Type :

This is a relatively small sanctuary but has most of the Australian animals that you will want to see. Most of the enclosures are really good and they do some great conservation work breeding endangered species. Entry is pretty reasonably priced ($25 per adult). Some of the experiences can get expensive and these should be pre-booked if your visiting during school holidays or on a weekend. The experiences give you the opportunity to get close to animals like wombats, koalas, dingos and reptiles. You can also buy cups of food to feed kangaroos. If you go in the afternoon they have usually already eaten lots and won’t be hungry. This is a great option for something to do on Mornington Peninsular, especially for families. It is roughly 15-20 minutes drive from Mornington.
