Manteigaria - Lisbon's best Pasteis De Nata

If you are visiting Lisbon, on your "to do list" will be listening to Fada, riding the tram and eating pasteis de nata. For the last one at least there is one place that you must go (well actually they have a couple of locations in Lisbon)...........Manteigaria! Baked fresh and eaten still warm, these will be the best pasteis de nata you're likely to find. The iconic egg custard tart is a a staple in Lisbon and there will often be lines out the door of Manteigaria cafes. However the service is quick, so the lines move fast. I suggest grabbing a couple of pasties and an espresso, there are small benches to eat at where you can add a sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon.........then simply enjoy! As you explore Lisbon by foot, these are a perfect mid-morning snack.
