The largest lake in Italy is a hugely popular holiday destination not only for Italians but also for Europeans wanting to indulge in adventure sports. It’s about halfway between Brescia and Verona, and between Venice and Milan and is the perfect holiday destination for a few days of mountain hiking, sailing, mountain biking or pretty much anything you can think of! Have a look at the vlog for a behind the scenes exclusive!
We stayed at Du Lac et Du Parc a luxury resort right on the water with three pools, gorgeous gardens, a full spa and health center and plenty of accommodation options to choose from. Its the perfect base for couples or for families and is in walking distance to a gorgeous restaurant, Restel De Fer.
Lake Garda and Lake Como are like chalk and cheese, while one may be all about action and adventure, Lake Como runs at a slower pace and is surrounded by picture perfect and charming towns, like Bellagio. I’d recommend staying in the palatial Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni which was built around 1883 and has everything you could need. Take the ferry or drive into Como and treat yourself to dinner at i Tigli in Theoria, a one star Michelin rated restaurant that prides itself on Italian cuisine and passionate staff.
