The key feature in the update is the introduction of a dedicated PS5 Pro Enhanced Mode, which improves the game's visuals by toggling the Favor Quality setting while maintaining a smooth 60fps, doubling the performance of the base PS5’s 30fps quality mode. Additionally, there is a High Frame Rate mode that unlocks the framerate up to 120fps when playing on VRR-capable displays. Players now have the option to choose between PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution and the previous Temporal Anti-Aliasing for resolution upscaling, further refining visual quality.

Beyond the PS5 Pro enhancements, the update also brings the Reduced Puzzle Hints feature from the PC version, allowing players to reduce the frequency of puzzle hints provided by companion characters—a change many fans had requested after finding the hints repetitive.

While the PS5 Pro upgrades offer substantial improvements, some fans had hoped for additional ray tracing features to fully showcase the game's remarkable art direction. Nonetheless, the update delivers meaningful performance improvements and quality-of-life changes that enhance the overall experience.
